Editorial Standards
How we create content, who reviews it, and why you can trust what we publish.
Our Core Principles
Education First
Every piece of content is written to educate, not sell. We explain financial concepts in plain language so anyone — from a first-time investor to an experienced trader — can benefit.
Evidence-Based
All factual claims are backed by data from RBI, SEBI, NSE, BSE, or published research. We link to primary sources wherever possible and update content when data changes.
No Investment Advice
We are an educational platform, not a SEBI-registered investment advisor. We never recommend specific stocks, funds, or products. We show you how to think, not what to buy.
Beginner-Inclusive
Financial literacy should be for everyone. We write at a level that assumes curiosity but no prior knowledge — every article includes a plain-English summary and real examples.
Regular Updates
Markets and regulations change. We flag outdated information and update articles when interest rates, tax laws, or SEBI regulations change. Each page shows its last-reviewed date.
Editorial Independence
Commercial relationships (if any) are disclosed. Sponsors never influence editorial content. Our tools produce the same results regardless of which banks or funds are involved.
How We Create Content
Topic Selection
Topics are chosen based on reader questions, SEO demand signals, regulatory changes, and gaps in existing Indian personal finance coverage. We prioritise what everyday investors actually need to know.
Research & Sourcing
Writers research using primary sources (RBI circulars, SEBI regulations, NSE/BSE data) and credible secondary sources. AI tools are used to assist with drafting — never as the sole source of truth.
Plain-Language Rewriting
Every draft is rewritten to be clear, concise, and jargon-free. Complex terms are explained with real Indian examples (SIPs, EMIs, CIBIL scores — things readers actually encounter).
Fact Check
Numbers, rates, and regulatory facts are cross-checked against official sources before publishing. Any calculation example is verified for arithmetic accuracy.
Disclaimer Review
Any content that touches investment decisions, tax, or insurance gets an explicit disclaimer reminding readers to consult a SEBI-registered advisor, CA, or insurance expert for personalised advice.
Publish & Monitor
Published articles are monitored for reader feedback. If corrections are needed, they are made promptly and a correction note is added to the article.
🤖 Our Use of AI
Moneykar uses AI (including Claude by Anthropic) to assist in drafting explanations, generating examples, and suggesting article structures. However:
- All AI-generated content is reviewed and edited by a human before publishing.
- Factual claims are independently verified — we do not trust AI for regulatory or numerical accuracy.
- AI is never used to fabricate quotes, invent statistics, or generate fake data.
- The Moneykar AI Assistant is clearly labelled as AI and cannot provide personalised financial advice.
🚫 What We Will Never Do
- Recommend specific stocks, mutual funds, or investment products for personal portfolios.
- Accept payment to write positive reviews or change editorial positions.
- Publish unverified market tips or "hot stock" rumours.
- Use affiliate links that bias our tool recommendations or calculator results.
- Claim to be SEBI-registered advisors or offer regulated financial services.
